Our courses are open to everyone and cover a wide range of practical, profound and inspiring topics.

In Person Attendance: As of Sept. 29, 2021, all events are available in person only. In advance of your arrival, you must complete the below COVID-19 Active Screening Form prior to entering the Temple or do so immediately when you arrive. All data is collected as a requirement to our local Toronto Public Health Department and will be kept for 30 days and then deleted.  Please adhere to all protocols given by local bylaws while you are at the temple such as but not limited to wearing a mask indoors, washing your hands or using hand sanitizer when you arrive/leave and as necessary and maintain minimum of 2 m social distance from anyone not in your household at all times. Learn to Meditate

In this busy modern world many people are now turning to meditation. The practice of meditation is to become deeply familiar with positive states of mind that are conducive to happiness.  If you’ve been thinking of trying meditation or wish to reboot your practice of meditation, this course is perfect for you!  In this half-day course, we will explore together the basic meditation techniques that will allow us to experience inner peace.  In particular, we will discover how to avoid the 2 major obstacles to successful meditations: mental wandering and mental sinking.

A Bodhisattva is a friend of the world who, motivated by compassion, seeks enlightenment to benefit all living beings without exception. In this day course, we will learn how to take and keep the Bodhisattva vows, how to purify negative minds, and how to practise the Bodhisattva’s actions of giving, moral discipline, patience, effort, concentration and wisdom. With this, we can enter the Bodhisattva’s way of life and progress along the path to full enlightenment.

But how will that happen? Love is the answer. This course is about how to develop our love and compassion, and how this has the power to heal ourselves and the world.

In our life we experience innumerable obstacles to the fulfilment of our wishes, causing us mental pain, discouragement, and many other problems.  We can overcome them all through receiving Buddha’s blessings and increasing our wisdom.

The supreme method to receive Buddha’s blessings and increasing our wisdom is the Practice of the Great Mother, which include the recitation of the Essence of Wisdom Sutra. In this day course, we will learn how to engage in this powerful practice either for one’s own sake or for the benefit of others.
