About the Class: Happiness and unhappiness do not exist outside the mind. They are feelings, which are parts of the mind. If we want to experience real lasting happiness and be free from problems, we must learn to develop and maintain a peaceful mind. This series of classes is based on the book How to Transform Your Life by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. It presents a series of Buddhist meditation practices to bring us closer and closer to an experience of inner peace and lasting happiness. By following these teachings, we can transform our daily experiences, both pleasant and unpleasant, into a spiritual path that brings great meaning and purpose to our life.
About the Teacher: Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is the Resident Teacher of KMC Canada and the NKT National Spiritual Director for Canada. An internationally renowned Teacher, he is greatly admired for his deep understanding and experience of Buddha’s teachings and his ability to convey their meaning in a clear and accessible way. In Person Attendance: In advance of your arrival, you must complete the below COVID-19 Active Screening Form prior to entering the Temple or do so immediately when you arrive. All data is collected as a requirement to our local Toronto Public Health Department and will be kept for 30 days and then deleted. Please adhere to all protocols given by local bylaws while you are at the temple such as but not limited to wearing a mask indoors, washing your hands or using hand sanitizer when you arrive/leave and as necessary and maintain minimum of 2 m social distance from anyone not in your household at all times.
