Introduction to Meditation

Find Your Inner Peace | Thursdays 7.00 – 8.30 pm

About the Class: We want to be happy all the time, even during sleep. How can we do this?  We can do this through training in meditation because meditation makes our mind peaceful, and when our mind is peaceful we are happy all the time, regardless of our external circumstances. In this series of classes based on the Tharpa Meditation CD series Meditation for Everyday Life, discover simple yet profound meditations that can be practised by anyone and that help us to experience inner peace and mental clarity, and help us to increase our love and compassion for others. This class is perfect for those who wish to build the foundations of a successful meditation practice.

About the Teacher: This class is taught by various qualified Kadampa Teachers, students on the Teacher Training Program or the Foundation Program at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada.

In Person Attendance: In advance of your arrival, you must complete the below COVID-19 Active Screening Form prior to entering the Temple or do so immediately when you arrive. All data is collected as a requirement to our local Toronto Public Health Department and will be kept for 30 days and then deleted.  Please adhere to all protocols given by local bylaws while you are at the temple such as but not limited to wearing a mask indoors, washing your hands or using hand sanitizer when you arrive/leave and as necessary and maintain minimum of 2 m social distance from anyone not in your household at all times.
