Recalibrating Desire, Greed and Contentment • How to enjoy a Happy Life of Balance

Special Five-week series • Buddhist meditation classes • Tuesdays 7:00 – 8:30 pm • in person only

Usually we find it difficult to control our mind.  It seems that our mind is like a balloon in the wind – blown here and there by external circumstances.  If things go well, for example if we get what we want, our mind is happy.  But if things go badly, for example if we do not get what we want or we lose something that we like, our mind becomes immediately unhappy.  Such fluctuations of mood arise because we are too closely involved in the external situation.

By training in meditation, we can gradually develop mental equilibrium, a balanced mind that is happy all the time, rather than an unbalanced mind that oscillates between the extremes of excitement and despondency.  Everyone welcome.

As usual, these classes are followed by complementary snacks and refreshments and an opportunity to ask questions.
