Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, Resident Teacher at KMC Canada and National Spiritual Director for Canada, is teaching this series of classes following the book Modern Buddhism by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. This precious book explains all the stages of the path to enlightenment in an easily accessible, sequential format.  Modern Buddhism is available as a free e-book download or you can buy a hard copy through our online shop. You will need an email address and a phone, laptop, tablet or computer on which to watch the class. By accessing this service, you agree not to share the link, not to watch with others who have not bought the ticket, and not to record any part of the audio or video class. Booking will stay open until 30 minutes after the start of the class. You will receive a link by email to join the live-streamed class. May 4 – Learning to live lightly (with Rose Hirano): Discover how through training in emptiness we can live in the conventional world without grasping at it, treat it lightly, and have the flexibility of mind to respond to every situation in a constructive way. Meditation: The Practice of Emptiness in our Daily Activities

May 11 – A simple meditation on emptiness for daily life (with Rose Hirano): Learn a simple meditation on ultimate truth emptiness that we can easily incorporate into our daily life and thus continuously reduce our self-grasping, the source of all suffering. Meditation: A Simple Training in Ultimate Bodhichitta 

May 18 – Examining our spiritual progress (with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab): For our spiritual practice to be authentic and yield genuine results we need to examine our progress from time to time and evaluate the efficacy of our meditation.
