Half-day course ~ Taming the Wild Elephant Mind

Taming the Wild Elephant Mind

How to live a peaceful life

Half-day course with Gen Kelsang Chodor

Do you ever feel like your mind has control over you, leading to unhelpful and painful thoughts such as distractions, irritation, or depression? We are often servants of our mind, following the pull of our negative thoughts without choice.

In this course, we will explore how to bring our feelings, emotions, and thoughts under our control using the practices of meditation, mindfulness, and alertness. Through this, we will experience greater mental freedom and a happier life. We will also learn practical techniques for guarding the mind against negativity in daily life, an essential skill we all need to develop for a peaceful and meaningful life.

No previous experience of meditation is required. Everybody welcome!

"If the elephant of our mind
Is bound tightly on all sides by the rope of mindfulness,
All fears will cease to exist
And all virtues will fall into our hands.” - The Buddhist Master Shantideva.
