  • Kelsang Rigma is a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for over 20 years. She was the Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Centre Cologne, Germany, last year. She is delighted to continue to teach in Canada.   • About the Teacher: Gen Kelsang Chodor is our new Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada. He has been ordained and has studied under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than twenty-two years.

    He has taught extensively in both the UK and the US, and is now teaching in Canada. He is admired by students because of his practical knowledge, warm presentations and authentic teachings, as well as his natural joy and sense of humour. He is skilled at putting everyone at ease and helping them solve their problems and anxieties with practical Dharma advice.

    At Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada, he teaches the Sunday morning class, the Tuesday evening class, the Wednesday morning class, the Thursday evening branch class at Swansea Town Hall (Bloor West Village), as well as special courses, retreats, and two in-depth study programmes; the Foundation Programme and the Teacher Training Programme.

9-Week Series of Thursday Evening Classes with Rose Hirano

We want to be happy all the time, even during sleep. How can we do this? We can do this through training in meditation, which makes our mind peaceful. When our mind is peaceful, we are happy all the time, regardless of our external circumstances.

In these classes, discover simple yet profound meditations that can be practised by anyone, helping us experience inner peace, mental clarity, and increasing our love and compassion for others. These classes are perfect for those who wish to build the foundations of a successful meditation practice. No previous experience is required.

  • About the Teacher: Gen Kelsang Chodor is our new Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada. He has been ordained and has studied under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than twenty-two years.

    He has taught extensively in both the UK and the US, and is now teaching in Canada. He is admired by students because of his practical knowledge, warm presentations and authentic teachings, as well as his natural joy and sense of humour. He is skilled at putting everyone at ease and helping them solve their problems and anxieties with practical Dharma advice.

    At Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada, he teaches the Sunday morning class, the Tuesday evening class, the Wednesday morning class, the Thursday evening branch class at Swansea Town Hall (Bloor West Village), as well as special courses, retreats, and two in-depth study programmes; the Foundation Programme and the Teacher Training Programme.
