Clear Light of Bliss

Clear Light of Bliss

An instruction of the Ganden Oral Lineage ~ Special Meditation Retreat following New Essence of Vajrayana ~ with Gen Kelsang Thekchen

Following the Summer Festival teachings on Clear Light of Bliss, we now have the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with both generation stage and completion stage meditations in this short retreat.

Based on Venerable Geshe-la’s wonderful commentaries, Essence of VajrayanaThe Oral Instructions of Mahamudra, and Modern Buddhism, Gen Thekchen will be guiding a weekend retreat on Heruka Body Mandala practice, using the sadhana, The New Essence of Vajrayana. On Friday, the emphasis will be on Generation Stage practice in which we will explore how, in dependence upon correct imagination, we can self-generate as Buddha Heruka and then train in the meditations of clear appearance and divine pride.

On Saturday and Sunday, the emphasis will be on Completion Stage. We will practise the three completion stage meditations of the yogas of the channel, drop, and wind.

Gen Thekchen's commentary will emphasize how we can engage in these powerful, profound practices with lightness, flexibility and deep enjoyment, and how we can continue to train in the experience of bliss and emptiness during the meditation break.

This retreat is perfect for those who have recently received Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment or have a sincere wish to do so at the next available opportunity.  It’s also perfect for those who wish to revive their practice and deepen their familiarity with Heruka Body Mandala practice. Everyone is welcome!
