Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is our NKT-IKBU National Spiritual Director of Canada. He is also a retired General Spiritual Director of the NKT-IKBU.

Pure Disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab has trained closely with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than forty years. His humility and pure example reflect his many years of reliance on his Spiritual Guide.

International Teacher

An internationally renowned Teacher, he is greatly admired throughout the Kadampa world as a pure, sincere practitioner and a powerful Teacher. He is also well-known for his deep understanding of Buddha's teachings and his ability to convey their meaning in a clear, accessible way.

In Canada, Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab generally teaches the Regional Dharma Celebrations, such as the Ontario Dharma Celebration, the Québec Dharma Celebration, and the Western Canada Dharma Celebration. He is also frequently requested to teach International or National Festivals, as well as special events throughout Canada and throughout the world.
