Drop-in Class ~ Stress-Free Living: Cultivating Inner Resilience

Stress-Free Living

Cultivating Inner Resilience

6-Week Series of Sunday Morning Classes with Gen Kelsang Chodor

In situations of difficulty, we can easily become frustrated. We may even believe that our frustration is a trusted ally, capable of helping us solve our problems. However, in truth, anger often leaves a trail of damage, including broken relationships, resentment, painful feelings, and a sense of regret.

In these classes, Gen Kelsang Chodor will share Buddha’s illuminating and practical teachings that can help you to let go of anger and frustration and develop inner resilience and strength, enabling you to maintain a positive outlook in the face of life’s adversities. These classes are based upon the book How To Solve Our Human Problems by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

These classes are held in the peaceful, spacious, quiet and comfortable meditation room at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada.  Each class is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any point.  Each class will be followed by complimentary refreshments and the opportunity to ask questions.  We also have many books and materials available at our Temple shop to help people deepen their learning and experience through further reading.  No previous experience of meditation is required.  Everybody welcome!

  • Parking spaces are limited in the area. For this reason, it is easier to come by public transport if this is an option for you.

It is possible to find parking in the nearby streets. However, it is generally not possible to park for more than 3 hours during the day. It is necessary to have a permit in order to park overnight in the area.

Temporary day parking spots nearby: Some options are available for temporary day parking spots nearby, for example with the following companies: Green P Parking, Spot Hero.

Temporary on-street permit parking in Toronto: Provided space is available, a temporary parking permit may be purchased by residents and their guests to park a motor vehicle on a street designated under the permit parking program of the city of Toronto. This program generally services those residential areas where driveways are not common. If you choose this option, please avoid parking on Crawford St. if possible. You may get a ticket as it is complaint driven and the residents have limited space for their own street parking on Crawford St.
