The Wisdom of Meditation~Buddha Manjushri Empowerment

Wisdom of Meditation

Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Manjushri

with Gen Kelsang Chodor

If we don't know how to meditate correctly and effectively, our meditation practice will lack power. Without the power of meditation, the purpose of our precious human life will be lost, and we will lack the ability to guide ourselves and others on the paths to pure and lasting happiness.

In this course, Gen Chodor will grant the empowerment of Wisdom Buddha Manjushri, a guided meditation whose function is to fill our mind with wisdom blessings and inspiration. Building upon this foundation, we will learn the invaluable instructions provided by the accomplished meditation master, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, on "Training in Meditation" from the book Mirror of Dharma with Additions. This guidance is essential, offering instructions on how to meditate correctly and powerfully.

Gen Chodor will also share advice that Gen-la Dekyong (the General Director of the NKT) received directly from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso on how to improve our meditation practice.

Through putting these instructions into practice, we will become qualified Kadampa practitioners with the ability to guide ourselves and others effectively on the path to pure and lasting happiness. How wonderful!

  • Parking spaces are limited in the area. For this reason, it is easier to come by public transport if this is an option for you.

It is possible to find parking in the nearby streets. However, it is generally not possible to park for more than 3 hours during the day. It is necessary to have a permit in order to park overnight in the area.

Temporary day parking spots nearby: Some options are available for temporary day parking spots nearby, for example with the following companies: Green P Parking, Spot Hero.

Temporary on-street permit parking in Toronto: Provided space is available, a temporary parking permit may be purchased by residents and their guests to park a motor vehicle on a street designated under the permit parking program of the city of Toronto. This program generally services those residential areas where driveways are not common. If you choose this option, please avoid parking on Crawford St. if possible. You may get a ticket as it is complaint driven and the residents have limited space for their own street parking on Crawford St.
